Key Responsibilities

• Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical units as needed within a correctional health setting.
• Ensure staff safety in a secure corrections environment.
• Provide patient care to individuals with active oncology diagnoses, non-oncology conditions, and post-procedural care.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions, including cardiac monitoring, respiratory support, and IV therapy.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and Pyxis medication system for medication administration.
• Follow protocols for emergency response and unit procedures, including telemetry interpretation and medication management.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Ohio RN license or compact license in hand at time of submission.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• EPIC charting experience is required; oncology experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with medication systems such as Pyxis.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Oncology nursing experience or background in Telemetry.
• Knowledge of complex patient management including cardiac, respiratory, and renal care.
• Ability to interpret ABGs and manage invasive lines such as PICC and central lines.
• Comfort working in a correctional healthcare environment with strict safety protocols.
