Job Title
• Sterile Processing Tech

Location
• Columbus, OH

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shift (5 nights per week, 8-hour shifts, 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Occasionally required to float to other locations

Key Responsibilities
• Decontaminate all surgical instruments and items, including drills, scopes, and Da Vinci equipment
• Assemble instruments across all service lines, including trauma, loaner sets, and peel packing
• Operate sterilization equipment such as Sterrad and steam sterilizers
• Handle HLD (High-Level Disinfection) and scope processing
• Manage sterile storage areas and oversee OR liaison duties
• Utilize Censitrac tracking system for inventory and workflow management

Required Qualifications
• Certification: CBSPD or CRCST through HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a busy hospital or trauma facility similar to Level One trauma center
• Experience with sterilization processes and scope handling
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Valid Ohio or Compact State license for Registered Nurses (if applicable) or appropriate tech certification
• Education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with HLD/scopes and Censitrac system preferred
• Knowledge of OR workflows and sterile storage management

Additional Notes
Candidates must be prepared for Ohio fingerprinting requirements immediately upon signing the contract. Travelers outside Ohio within driving distance must visit an Ohio fingerprinting location; those farther away will receive a fingerprinting packet by mail.
All submissions must include two professional references, with at least one from a managerial or leadership role.
The RTO (Request for Time Off) must be specified at submission and built into the contract.
Candidates must hold a valid license in Ohio at the time of submission.
