- Full-time, night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week, 1845-0715)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care within IMC, PCU, and Stepdown units, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data, manage cardiac dysrhythmias, and respond to emergencies promptly.
- Administer medications, including IV therapies, vasoactive drips, and blood products, following protocols.
- Manage post-cardiac procedures, such as angiograms, catheters, and surgeries, including sheath removal and sheath management.
- Care for patients with gastrointestinal and renal conditions, including feeding tube management and dialysis pre/post-care.
- Document patient care accurately using Cerner and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license in hand prior to start.
- Minimum 18 months of RN experience in a hospital setting, preferably in Acute Care, Telemetry, or Cardiac units.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS.
- Basic IV therapy and phlebotomy skills, including port access, line management, and blood product administration.
- Proficiency in cardiac monitoring, including dysrhythmia management and telemetry interpretation.
- Experience with chest tubes, CPAP/BIPAP, high-flow oxygen, and non-invasive airway management.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous charge nurse experience and familiarity with Cerner charting system.
- Experience in Level I Trauma centers and teaching hospitals.
- Knowledge of surgical drains and trauma patient care.

Additional Information
- 12-hour night shifts, rotating every other weekend.
- Schedule flexibility for block scheduling, pending discussion.
- Must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
- Floating to similar units within scope is required.
- Parking available at no cost with permit provided during orientation.
- All compliance documents (SSN, DOB, background, certifications) must be completed prior to start.
- Candidates must be local or willing to travel at least 50 miles if RN.
- No on-call required.
Note: This is a travel assignment requiring full compliance with hospital policies and credentialing procedures.
