• Travel, Full-time, Days shifts, 12.5 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a busy emergency department
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient treatment
• Administer medications and perform procedures following hospital protocols
• Monitor patient conditions using advanced equipment and document care accurately in Cerner system
• Ensure patient safety and a positive experience by adhering to AIDET principles and respectful communication
• Support patient flow and assist with triage, internal processing, and unit clerical duties

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a registered nurse, with at least 1 year in an ER setting
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS, ENPC (within 90 days of hire)
• Experience working in a Level 2 trauma center or high-volume ED (over 100,000 visits annually) is preferred
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to provide coaching and real-time feedback

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with HCA or similar hospital systems
• Familiarity with GE monitors and Baxter pumps
• Ability to work flexibly in all areas of the ED, including behavioral holds and internal processing areas
• Multicultural competence and excellent communication skills in a diverse community

Additional Information

• Orientation: 4-hour hospital orientation followed by an 8-hour on-floor shift
• Dress Code: Navy scrubs for RNs, with specific colors for other roles
• No outside floating required; floating within the ED is required
• Shifts scheduled every other weekend, flexible scheduling to meet department needs
• Worksite: 509 Biltmore Avenue, Asheville, NC 28801
• Estimated start date: April 27, 2026
• Duration: 13-week travel assignment
