• 4 shifts per week
• 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized care to cardiac ICU patients, including those with critical cardiovascular conditions.
• Manage ventilators, drips, A-lines, sheaths, and dialysis procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals, interpret EKGs, and respond to emergency situations swiftly.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document care and treatments accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Float to different units within Premier Health as needed, supporting team flexibility.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of dedicated CVICU experience.
• Valid RN license in any state (with the ability to obtain a temporary license if necessary).
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Ability to read and interpret strips, and competence in managing ventilators, drips, sheaths, and dialysis.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred.
• Capable of passing online EKG tele competency assessment prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous trauma ICU experience, particularly Level 1 Trauma.
• Travel nursing experience, with familiarity working in various healthcare settings.
• Experience with A-lines, dialysis, sheaths, ABGs, and vent management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, critical care environment.
