Key Responsibilities
• Deliver high-quality nursing care on a high-acuity surgical trauma floor with a focus on spinal, neuro, trauma, and surgical patients
• Manage a patient ratio of approximately 5:1, including patients with conditions such as gunshot wounds, quadriplegia, paraplegia, and other trauma-related cases
• Complete patient handoffs with ED nurses and admitting units to ensure continuity of care
• Support additional unitstaff such as nursing support techs, phlebotomists, and night shift unit secretaries
• Adhere to hospital policies, including documentation in EPIC electronic health record system and maintaining required certifications

Required Qualifications
• Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Georgia
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-acuity specialty area
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Ability to work varied shifts, with no block scheduling or time-off restrictions (NO RTO)
• Proficient in Epic EHR system

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in surgical trauma, neuro, spinal, or emergency nursing
• Experience with trauma patients such as gunshot wounds and neuro injuries
• Ability to handle complex patient populations in a fast-paced environment
