Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the operating room setting.
- Prepare and monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Ensure sterile techniques and safety protocols are maintained throughout surgeries.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to support patient safety and care standards.
- Document patient information and surgical procedures accurately.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, compliance regulations, and safety guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Valid nursing license (compact or state-specific) in Ohio or comparable license.
- Education from an ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing program.
- Experience in perioperative nursing or operating room preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to schedule demands.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior OR nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is a plus.
- Knowledge of surgical equipment and protocols.
