• Full-time, night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for pediatric patients in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU).
• Monitor and manage patients with congenital heart disease, post-surgical recovery, and complex cardiac conditions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and dietitians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications, perform procedures, and utilize advanced supportive therapies such as ECMO and VAD.
• Document patient care accurately and coordinate with family members regarding treatment plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and maintain certification requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid South Carolina or multi-state/compact RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric ICU experience, specifically in cardiac or pediatric care.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications (American Heart Association only).
• PREFERRED: ACLS certification and experience with ventricular assist devices (VAD).
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts and meet scheduling requirements including weekend and holiday rotations.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pediatric cardiac procedures such as heart transplants and VAD management.
• Familiarity with ECMO, CRRT, and other complex supportive therapies.
• Prior experience working in a Beacon Award-winning unit or high-acuity pediatric setting.
