Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological examinations, ensuring proper positioning and safety.
• Explain procedures to patients and respond to their questions to ensure comfort and understanding.
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians, utilizing radiologic equipment safely and effectively.
• Operate and troubleshoot radiologic equipment such as CR, Fluoro, and DR systems; manage image transfer and documentation.
• Assist radiologists and fluoroscopy technicians during procedures, including fluoroscopic and special examinations.
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to radiation safety standards, including ALARA principles.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a specialized Radiologic Technology training program approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• ARRT certification in Radiology.
• Current BLS certification meeting American Heart Association standards, renewed every two years.
• One year of experience performing radiological procedures preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in hospital, clinic, or physician’s office settings.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
• Ability to operate radiologic and PACS equipment, including image transfer and workflow management.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
