Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all surgical items, including drills, scopes, and robotic instruments
• Assemble instruments across various service lines, including trauma, loaners, and peel packing
• Conduct sterilization processes using sterilization systems (sterrad and steam)
• Handle high-level disinfection and scope processing
• Manage sterile storage and inventory control
• Coordinate as an OR liaison to ensure smooth communication and workflow
• Utilize the Censitrac tracking system for accurate tracking and documentation

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a sterile processing or comparable healthcare setting, preferably in a Level One trauma facility
• Certification through CBSPD or CRCST (via HSPA or IAHCSMM)
• Strong knowledge of sterilization equipment and processes (sterrad, steam)
• Experience with HLD/scope processing and sterile storage
• Familiarity with Censitrac or similar tracking systems
• Ability to float to other locations as needed

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a busy hospital environment similar to Ohio State University Medical Center
• Knowledge of OR procedures and communication as a liaison
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying workflows and protocols
