Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality post-operative and medical-surgical patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment.
• Monitor and assess patients with conditions such as trauma, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, drains, NG tubes, and central lines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including charge nurses, PCTs, and respiratory therapists, to ensure patient needs are met.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage patient care plans and respond effectively to emergent situations.
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital policies and protocols.
• Demonstrate excellent bedside manner and teamwork to support patient recovery.

Required Qualifications

• Active IL RN license or completed application process.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Last four digits of SSN and middle initial for submission.
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in required orientation sessions.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in post-op surgical care, trauma, or medical-surgical units.
• Skilled in wound care, IV therapy, and pain management.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to a dynamic environment.
