Job Title
• Registered Nurse - IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities
• Float to various Oncology Medical-Surgical (MS) units as needed.
• Ensure staff safety within a secure corrections environment.
• Provide patient care for a diverse caseload, including oncology and non-oncology diagnoses.
• Accurately document patient encounters using EPIC electronic health record system.
• Administer medications via Pyxis medication system, following protocol.
• Assist with patient assessments, monitor cardiac rhythms, and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Support patient care activities such as IV therapy, feeding tube management, and respiratory support.

Required Qualifications
• Valid Ohio or Compact Registered Nurse license.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• Experience with oncology patient care preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Pyxis medication system.
• Ability to interpret cardiac telemetry and manage related emergencies.
• Strong understanding of IV therapy, medication administration, and respiratory support equipment.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• Oncologic nursing experience or familiarity with oncology diagnoses.
• Ability to adapt to a correctional healthcare environment.
