Job Title

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, days shift (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for ICU patients with conditions such as DKA, Acute Respiratory Failure, MIs, CABGs, and Ventilators in a mixed cardiac and medical ICU.
• Assess patient status, administer medications and treatments, and monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient histories, symptoms, medication administration, and care provided accurately.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and treatments, addressing their emotional, cultural, and psychological needs.
• Demonstrate independent clinical judgment, delegate appropriately, and manage contingency situations effectively.

Required Qualifications
• Current RN license in the state of Louisiana or a compact license.
• BLS certification from AHA.
• ACLS certification from AHA.
• At least 1 year of experience in a critical care setting preferred.
• Successful completion of organizational orientation and competency validations.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior ICU experience, particularly in cardiac and medical ICU environments.
• Strong assessment, documentation, and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
