Key Responsibilities
- Perform nursing assessments and chart documentation for elderly residents with dementia and frailty.
- Conduct patient care including medication administration, assessments, and clinical procedures such as IVs, catheters, and ostomy care.
- Cover charge duties and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including therapy, social work, activities, dietary, and housekeeping.
- Respond to resident needs and coordinate care within established staffing ratios, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records in the ECS electronic medical record system and adhere to facility protocols.
- Support team members and ensure smooth unit operations during shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Elderly care experience, especially with frail, elderly populations with dementia.
- Experience with IV therapy and titratable drips.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as required.
- Strong clinical skills including IVs, catheters, ostomy management, and assessments.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous work in a nursing home or long-term care facility.
- Experience with ECS electronic medical records.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multidisciplinary team.
- Good communication and team collaboration skills.
