Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week, mids

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to emergency department patients across all ESI levels.
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and support staff to deliver timely patient assessments and treatments.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, including EKGs and lab results, maintaining high acuity standards.
• Assist with patient triage, treatment, and stabilization, including managing trauma and fast track cases.
• Adapt to unit needs by floating occasionally and responding to emergent situations such as codes or rapid responses.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, including documentation, drug screens, and safety policies.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois Registered Nurse license or proof of application in process.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Ability to operate Epic electronic health record systems.
• Strong clinical skills in emergency nursing and trauma care.
• Willingness to work at least every other weekend and holiday.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in a Level II Trauma ER.
• Proficiency with Phillips monitors and basic EKG interpretation.
• Experience working in fast-paced emergency settings with diverse patient demographics.
