Job Title
• Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Location
• Fredericksburg, TX

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time / Day shifts, 5 days per week, 8 hours per shift

Key Responsibilities
• Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist
• Record treatments administered and note patient progress in medical records
• Evaluate, plan, and administer treatments to residents and patients with disabilities to improve function and relieve pain
• Ensure all treatments follow established care plans, regulatory, and documentation requirements
• Support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust interventions as needed

Required Qualifications
• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist
• Empathy and patience in patient care
• Physical stamina to assist with movement and exercises
• At least 1 year of experience in a skilled nursing facility (may be required by the state)

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to physical therapy practice
