- Full-time, 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts per week)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit, including monitoring cardiac rhythms and administering treatments.
- Manage patients with soft tissue malignancies, including diagnostic procedures and chemotherapy administration.
- Assist with symptom management related to disease progression and treatment.
- Interpret dysrhythmias, access ports, and manage arterial lines, PICC lines, and central lines.
- Administer blood products, start IVs, and assist with chest tube insertions/removals.
- Operate specialized equipment including monitors, infusion pumps, and telemetry systems.
- Adhere to infection prevention protocols and patient safety standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
- Valid and active state or compact RN license.
- Current BLS certification.
- EPIC EMR experience.
- Ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias.
- Experience with port access, arterial line management, and blood product administration.
- Familiarity with high flow nasal cannula and ABG interpretation.
- Willingness to float within units of equal or lower acuity.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Travel nursing experience preferred, especially in acute care or telemetry units.
- Oncology experience is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience with GE telemetry systems and specialized medical equipment.
