• Full-time, nights, 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends, holiday coverage, potential floating to other units as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for NICU patients in a Level 3 facility with 60 private rooms, capable of expanding to 65 beds.
• Monitor and titrate drips such as Fentanyl, Morphine, and Precedex according to physician orders.
• Handle patient assessments, interventions, and collaborate with an in-house team of neonatologists and experienced APNs.
• Utilize various ventilator equipment, including conventional Vent, Oscillator, JET ventilator, CPAP, and High Flow systems.
• Read and interpret patient monitors on Phillips systems and respond promptly to changes in patient status.
• Assist in providing comprehensive neonatal care for complex cases including preemies as small as 22 weeks, abdominal defects, cardiac repairs, and genetic conditions.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that licensure application has been initiated.
• BLS and NRP certifications.
• Experience with Level 3 or 4 NICU care preferred, including micro preemie care.
• Ability to titrate IV drips such as Fentanyl, Morphine, and Precedex.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays, with flexible scheduling.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in NICU, especially with preemie and complex neonatal cases.
• Experience working in a high-acuity NICU setting, managing ventilators, and reading monitors.
• Knowledge of advanced neonatal procedures and equipment.
