• Full-time, Night shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic patients across adult and geriatric populations.
• Monitor patient health and progress, including telemetry monitoring when required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Assist with patient mobility, wound care, and post-surgical recovery.
• Support physical therapy activities conducted on the unit to promote patient rehabilitation.
• Adhere to facility protocols and maintain compliance with all safety and documentation standards.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including recent travel healthcare experience.
• Valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience working in a charge nurse role is required.
• EPIC electronic health record (EHR) system experience.
• Successful passing of the Pass/Fail EKG exam required by the facility.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in orthopedic surgical units or medical-surgical units.
• Knowledge of telemetry monitoring and care for postoperative orthopedic patients.
• Flexibility to float to other campuses if needed.

Additional Notes

• This position involves working every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday).
• Float staffing required as needed; may cover charge RN shifts.
• The travel compliance deadline is 12 noon EST on the Wednesday prior to the start date, with all documentation submitted timely for onboarding.
• Candidate must pass a physical EKG test during compliance, with two attempts allowed.
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted; current driver’s license required to confirm address.
• All compliance documentation must be completed prior to start, including education verification and background check clearance.
