Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, travel assignment, night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 13-week duration

Key Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in an Intermediate Care/Progressive Care/Stepdown unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and EKG readings; manage cardiac and anti-arrhythmic IV infusions.
• Assist with procedures such as paracentesis, use of BiPap, and therapeutic phlebotomy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech Expanse.
• Float to other units as needed, following hospital policies.

Required Qualifications

• Active Kentucky RN license in good standing (compact license preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital setting, specifically in progressive care or ICU.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIH certification (must be renewed annually).
• Proficiency in telemetry and EKG interpretation.
• Experience with cardiac IV infusions and post-PCI care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing CPap and BiPap.
• Skills in port access, wound vac management, chest tubes, NG tubes, drains, and central lines.
• Knowledge of blood transfusions and post-dialysis assessments.
• Strong interdisciplinary communication skills.
