- Full-time, day shifts, 4x10-hour shifts per week, on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary supplies and equipment for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures across various age groups, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
- Maintain sterile environment and follow established protocols to ensure patient safety
- Function independently within established protocols and support the surgical team as needed
- Manage scrub responsibilities with proficiency and sound judgment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (required for hires after 2009)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist
- Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) specialty experience required
- BCLS certification
- Certification by an approved body (e.g., NBSTSA - CST, or NCCT - TS-C)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Significant CVOR specialty experience, which may lead to negotiable salary offers
- Ability to work effectively across diverse patient populations and clinical settings
- Proficiency in computer and keyboarding skills
