Full-time, Nights shift, 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients across medical, intermediate, and ICU settings.
- Manage ventilators and respiratory equipment, including Servo U, Servo I, LTV Trilogy ventilators, and ResMed S9 CPAP/BiPAP units.
- Document treatments and patient care using the AARC point system, aiming for approximately 26-28 points daily.
- Follow clinical protocols and collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and team leads to coordinate patient care.
- Adhere to specific department policies, including orientation and documentation requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Respiratory Therapist license or confirmation of application initiation.
- Certification as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- BLS certification.
- Experience caring for patients in large critical care facilities (300+ beds).
- Ability to operate advanced respiratory equipment and treatments.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Recent work in a large ICU or critical care unit within the past year.
- Prior experience with EPIC electronic health records and vent management.
- Familiarity with high-flow oxygen therapy devices such as Fisher Paykel.
