Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts (7 AM - 7 PM & 7 PM - 7 AM)
• 3 shifts per week, every other weekend, holiday rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide bedside patient care in a 18-bed Medical Surgical unit with private and semi-private rooms
• Titrate medications such as Heparin and monitor telemetry for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisor, and other healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
• Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and documentation in compliance with hospital policies
• Handle oxygen therapy and ensure proper equipment troubleshooting as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or proof of application submission
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of hospital experience preferred
• Experience with medication titration, including Heparin
• Ability to perform IV starts and blood draws
• Successful completion of a negative drug screen (drug-free campus policy)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (preferred for Charge RN position)
• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Comfortable managing telemetry and multiple patient care tasks simultaneously
