Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within the Emergency Room, adhering to standards of care and physician’s orders.
• Support patients of all ages and their families through assessment, planning, and execution of nursing interventions.
• Work independently to evaluate patient conditions and respond to emergent situations effectively.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with hospital policies and protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes and efficient ER operations.

Required Qualifications

• Valid registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with no state licensure required; licenses from any state are acceptable.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within one year of hire.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification within one year of hire.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within one year of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification completed within 6 months of hire.
• Emergency Severity Index Level 5 certification within 3 months of hire.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior ER nursing experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
