- Full-time, nights shift (12-hour nights, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, including neuro and neurosurgical populations.
- Document patient progress and treatment plans using EPIC charting system.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver safe and effective patient care.
- Support patient needs in a busy hospital environment, maintaining a nurse/patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6.
- Float as needed to other medical-surgical units.
- Complete required orientation and maintain compliance with licensing and certification requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Illinois RN license.
- BLS certification.
- NIHSS certification.
- Minimum of 2+ years of strong Med/Surg nursing experience.
- Experience with EPIC charting system.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for stroke, seizure, and neurosurgical patients (spine, cranial, ENT).
- Prior experience in a hospital setting with neuro patient populations.
