Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 3 nights per week (12-hour night shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac and stroke unit patients, including pre/post-procedure care, pacemaker management, and cardiac drips.
• Monitor and manage stable cardiac patients, including those on ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy.
• Titrate cardiac medications such as Cardizem and Dopamine as needed.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
• Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health records.
• Respond to patient needs promptly and effectively during fast-paced unit environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid NC or Compact RN license, in hand at start.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in cardiac or telemetry units.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certification.
• Proficiency in IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac care procedures.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and float within the unit as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with titrating IV drips such as Cardizem, Dopamine, and Amiodarone.
• Prior travel or bedside experience in high-acuity cardiac units.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with high patient turnover.
