• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to immunocompromised oncology patients in a 36-bed Oncology Telemetry unit with a focus on PCU-level care.
• Monitor patient vital signs and manage complex treatments, including IV therapies, blood products, and chemotherapy administration.
• Interpret dysrhythmias, manage drips, and respond to rapid response team calls.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, infection prevention, and fall protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain compliance with unit and hospital policies.
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid compact or state RN license in Ohio or in a participating compact state.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with preferred oncology background.
• Certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale certification.
• Proficient in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV insertion, port access, and central line management.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with chemotherapy administration and monitoring.
• Knowledge of external airway management devices, wound care, and surgical drains.
• Past travel nursing experience.
• Ability to manage complex cardiac drips and insulin protocols.
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and advanced airway devices (e.g., BiPAP, HFNC).
