Job Title

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Night shifts, 36 hours per week, 13-week duration

Key Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative care to general surgical patients on a 32-bed unit.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Float to other units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility.
• Manage patient needs including pain management, mobility assistance, and bedside procedures.
• Adhere to unit policies and ensure a healing environment tailored to individual patient needs.
• Document patient care accurately using the facility's EMR system.

Required Qualifications

• Associated degree in nursing (ASN or higher).
• Active Alabama registered nurse license or compact license (no temporary licenses accepted).
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, or 18 months under the highest professional license with at least 1 year in the specialty area.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in surgical or telemetry units.
• Ability to work night shifts and float between units and facilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
