Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, plan, and administer physical therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities.
• Deliver treatments according to an established plan of care, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Record treatments provided and note patient progress in medical records.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Complete all required documentation in compliance with company policies and state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program (Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education).
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT).
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Empathy and patience when working with patients.
• Physical stamina to assist patients with movement and exercises.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a healthcare or residential facility setting.
• Familiarity with documentation and regulatory requirements specific to physical therapy.
