• Full-time, rotating shift (nights), 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in intermediate, progressive care, and stepdown units within a comprehensive cancer center.
• Float between various specialized inpatient units, including oncology, hematology, urology, colorectal, and surgical oncology.
• Adhere to infection prevention protocols and safety procedures while delivering high-quality care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment plans and interventions.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio or valid compact state license at time of submission.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in high-acuity PCU or higher.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process promptly.
• Experience in oncology is preferred but not required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with infusion therapies, special procedures, or cancer treatments.
• Familiarity with infection control and patient safety protocols in an acute care setting.
• Prior float or multi-unit experience in a hospital environment.

Additional Notes

• This is a 12-hour night shift position with variable weekend requirements.
• Orientation includes five days of bedside training followed by independent shifts.
• Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting by the specified deadline—that is critical to onboarding.
• Local and traveling RNs considered.
• RTO (Leave) requests must be built into the contract.
