• Full-time, Days shift, 8-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
• Provide occupational therapy services to acute care patients across various medical and surgical diagnoses, including ICU, neurological, orthopedic, and general debility cases.
• Support patient recovery and functional independence based on physician orders within a hospital environment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Support the hospital’s acute care OT department, ensuring compliance with clinical and safety standards.
• Document patient progress accurately within electronic health record systems such as Cerner.
• Cover a rotating schedule that includes four weekends per four-week cycle and holiday shifts as required.
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in a clinical setting.
• Current GA Occupational Therapist license.
• BLS certification through AHA.
• Experience with electronic health records, preferably Cerner.
• Ability to support a wide range of medical and surgical diagnoses in an acute care setting.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Familiarity with hospital-based occupational therapy procedures.
• Experience supporting ICU, stroke, neurological, and orthopedic patients.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills within healthcare teams.
