• Night (3x12 Hours) and Day (3x12 Hours) shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac surgery patients in the CVICU
• Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity levels as needed
• Manage complex patient cases with procedures such as IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, and PICC lines
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Document patient care and maintain accurate records

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cardiac ICU experience
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Valid state or compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Experience with IV starts, telemetry, ventilators, Swan-Ganz, conscious sedation, balloon pumps, PICC lines, and septic management required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• Experience with patients requiring balloon pumps and conscious sedation highly desirable
• Candidate must complete Ohio fingerprinting quickly after signing contract to ensure compliance
• Previous ICU leadership or supervisory references preferred

Shift Details

• Night shift: 19:00 – 07:30 (12 hours)
• Day shift: 07:00 – 19:30 (12 hours)
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for days, Friday/Saturday for nights)
• NO call required

Additional Information

• Unit will not rotate travelers more than once every 4 weeks
• Estimated patient ratios are 1:1-2
• Candidates outside Ohio must complete fingerprinting promptly; those within driving distance should visit a fingerprinting location immediately after booking
