Job Title
• Tech - Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer
Location
• Hilo, HI
Schedule / Job Type
• Rotating shifts; 40-hour workweek with call when required; floating to other departments as needed
Key Responsibilities
• Perform adult echocardiograms, including 2D-Mode, Doppler CW & PW, valvular disease studies, color flow mapping, cardiomyopathies, congenital and pericardial heart disease, and effusions
• Conduct 2D and 3D transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs)
• Utilize Canon i700 and i900 ultrasound equipment for imaging procedures
• Maintain proficiency in advanced ultrasound techniques and ensure high-quality imaging
• Adhere to department protocols and safety standards
Required Qualifications
• ARDMS or CCI certification in echocardiography or ultrasound
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting
• RDCS certification with an active BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency in adult echocardiography techniques, including Doppler and valvular assessments
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Pediatric ultrasound experience is a plus but not required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and adapt to floating shifts
