Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Record treatments administered and note patient progress in medical records.
• Evaluate, plan, and implement treatment plans to improve or restore resident functionality and relieve pain.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment methods and progress.
• Monitor patient responses to treatments and adjust as necessary in accordance with established care plans.
• Complete all required documentation in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Empathy, patience, and physical stamina to support patient mobility and exercises.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience working in a clinical or long-term care setting is a plus.
• Knowledge of facility-specific policies and procedures.
