Therapist - Physical Therapy Assistant

Schedule / Job Type:
Full-time, daytime shifts, 5 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Record treatments and note patient progress in medical records accurately.
• Evaluate, plan, and administer treatment to residents and patients with disabilities to relieve pain, improve function, and promote healing.
• Ensure all treatments are delivered according to established care plans.
• Support and educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment procedures.
• Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust care as needed.
• Complete documentation following applicable policies and regulations.

Required Qualifications:

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• Certification from the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) for PTAs, administered by the Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy.
• Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow instructions from a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Empathy, patience, and physical stamina to assist with patient movement and exercises.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Previous experience working with diverse patient populations (nice to have).
• Knowledge of documentation standards and regulatory requirements (preferred).
