Key Responsibilities
- Function as a member of the surgical team under the direction of a registered nurse (R.N.)
- Support surgical procedures by maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment
- Assist with the inventory, distribution, and delivery of medications as required
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a certified surgical technology program through a community college, vocational school, military program, or hospital-based school; or documented on-the-job experience as an Operating Room Technician
- Ability to function effectively as part of a collaborative surgical team
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) certification preferred
- Completion of six contact hours of continuing education or three college credits related to the nursing or surgical field per year
