Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery (Night Shifts)

• Charleston, WV

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12 or 4x12), on-site

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a Labor and Delivery unit, supporting women through childbirth
• Float to Mother Baby unit as needed, assisting with postpartum care
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Utilize circulating skills in an OR setting, including IV starts, triage, and scrub responsibilities
• Support high-risk and low-risk obstetric patients in a regional tertiary care environment
• Adhere to safety and documentation protocols using Cerner, Surginet, and Fetallink

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in a hospital setting
• Valid WV or Compact State RN license (pending license acceptable)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association
• Must be able to float to Mother Baby as needed
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with obstetrics, triage, and scrub duties in a Labor and Delivery setting
• Familiarity with Cerner or similar documentation systems
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a high-acuity environment
