Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individual patient needs.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care and ensure patient safety.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, documenting all interventions accurately.
• Ensure timely, patient-centered, and efficient recovery care following surgical or procedural interventions.
• Supervise and support LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel in the clinical setting.
• Complete patient education and competency testing specific to PACU procedures and protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Nursing license issued by the State of New Mexico or a Compact State with active licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
• Must pass the basic cardiac arrhythmias (BCA) test within the first week of assignment.
• At least two years of current experience in a specialty area, with a minimum of one 13-week travel assignment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate teamwork and flexibility.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• EPIC electronic health records system experience (training available).
• Previous PACU or perioperative nursing experience.
