Registered Nurse CVICU

Job Title

• Registered Nurse - CVICU (12H Night Shifts)

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, nights (12-hour shifts)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the CVICU, including management of complex cardiac and vascular conditions
• Monitor and operate intra-aortic balloon pumps and other advanced medical devices
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient progress accurately within the electronic medical record system (Cerner)
• Adhere to unit protocols, including patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2, and respond to emergent patient needs
• Float to step-down units or ER as needed to support staffing and patient care

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU/CVICU experience, including prior travel nurse assignments
• Valid Tennessee license or compact license on file at the time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Experience with intra-aortic balloon pumps
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and meet orientation eligibility on scheduled dates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience with ARDS, pneumonia, withdrawal management, and cardiogenic shock
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
• Experience with float assignments to step-down or emergency departments
