Registered Nurse - CVICU
Location:
Cincinnati, OH
Schedule / Job Type:
Night shift, 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized cardiac and respiratory support in a CVICU setting.
- Administer ECMO support across all critical care units (NICU, PICU, CICU) for patients with respiratory or heart failure.
- Monitor and manage ECMO pumps, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure adherence to facility protocols and standards for ECMO support.
- Document clinical interventions accurately using Epic or preferred charting system.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac or critical care nursing.
- Valid state license (single-state OH or multi-state license required; Ohio to join compact January 2023).
- Current certifications including ACLS and BLS.
- ECMO specialist or pump management experience.
- Ability to provide ECMO support in a high-acuity environment.
- References from supervisor within the past 2 years.
- Must have a recent background check and fingerprinting completed on first day.
- Proof of nursing certifications (e.g., ANCC) required at submission.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Experience with Epic or other electronic medical record systems.
- Previous experience working within a hospital setting, including floating across units.
- Familiarity with Tier 4 travel compliance and mileage/radius policies.
