Registered Nurse - CVICU

Schedule / Job Type:

Night shift, 3 nights per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized cardiac and respiratory support in a CVICU setting.
• Administer ECMO support across all critical care units (NICU, PICU, CICU) for patients with respiratory or heart failure.
• Monitor and manage ECMO pumps, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Ensure adherence to facility protocols and standards for ECMO support.
• Document clinical interventions accurately using Epic or preferred charting system.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiac or critical care nursing.
• Valid state license (single-state OH or multi-state license required; Ohio to join compact January 2023).
• Current certifications including ACLS and BLS.
• ECMO specialist or pump management experience.
• Ability to provide ECMO support in a high-acuity environment.
• References from supervisor within the past 2 years.
• Must have a recent background check and fingerprinting completed on first day.
• Proof of nursing certifications (e.g., ANCC) required at submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with Epic or other electronic medical record systems.
• Previous experience working within a hospital setting, including floating across units.
• Familiarity with Tier 4 travel compliance and mileage/radius policies.
