Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week, full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in the Post-Cardiac Surgery, Post-Vascular Surgery, and Stepdown units with a focus on cardiac and post-op heart conditions.
• Administer IV medications, start IVs, and manage cardiac drips, including titration.
• Monitor and respond to patient acuity, utilizing telemetry and trauma experience to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Float to different levels of care such as Med-Surg, PCU, or ICU as needed, with appropriate training and resources.
• Adhere to staffing ratios of 1:3-5 based on acuity and operational needs.
• Follow all certification and compliance requirements, including COVID vaccination and license validation.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Indiana.
• 18 months of RN experience in a cardiac, trauma, or stepdown setting.
• Certification in ACLS and BCLS.
• Experience with telemetry, IV starts, and managing cardiac drips.
• Ability to float to various care levels as needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong background in cardiac and post-op cardiac care.
• Experience working in a high-acuity surgical or ICU environment.
• Familiarity with trauma or Level II trauma experience.
