Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to Neuro, Stroke, and Neurosurgery patients in a busy hospital unit.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias, implementing appropriate management.
• Start IVs and perform related procedures within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic medical record systems.
• Float to other Medical-Surgical/Telemetry units as needed, including COVID care units, and cover weekend shifts.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina or a compact state, in hand at start.
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry.
• BLS certification required; NIH, NIHSS, ACLS (preferred but not mandatory).
• Proven experience interpreting and managing dysrhythmias.
• Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience (minimum of 2 successful contracts in MedSurg).
• Certification in ACLS (preferred).
• Experience in neuro-specific patient care or epilepsy monitoring is a plus.
