Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to patients in a rehabilitation and acute hospital setting.
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans focusing on neuro rehabilitation, SCI, stroke recovery, and post-acute guidelines.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document patient progress accurately within EMR systems and adhere to unit policies.
• Demonstrate good time management and meet productivity standards during assigned shifts.
• Engage with staff and patients in a professional, friendly, and organized manner to foster a positive care environment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Texas.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in neuro, acute, inpatient, or outpatient settings.
• Experience with SCI, brain injury, stroke rehabilitation, and post-acute care guidelines.
• Ability to transition between multiple programs and adapt to different patient care needs.
• Knowledge of EMR documentation systems.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with multifaceted programs and utilization of CARE tool assessments.
• Familiarity with IPR post-acute care guidelines.
• Strong organizational, communication, and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.
