Key Responsibilities
- Perform cardiac ultrasound procedures including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress tests for adult patients.
- Prepare and operate ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance.
- Educate and prep patients for procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
- Review and analyze ultrasound images, report findings, and document patient information accurately.
- Assist in evaluating patient history and framing clinical questions to guide the examination.
- Participate in on-call rotations, including weekends and holidays, with the requirement to be onsite within one hour of call.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited technical or associate degree program in Radiology or related field.
- Less than 1 year of professional ultrasound experience.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI or Registered Diag Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with advanced echocardiography or vascular ultrasound techniques.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including extended shifts and weekends.
- Comfortable traveling occasionally with portable ultrasound equipment to off-site facilities.
