Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care, Progressive Care Unit, or Stepdown units.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and implement care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR/EPIC) to document patient care accurately.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate issues as necessary.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and nursing standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license with Nursys verification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, specifically in neuro, IMC, or stepdown units.
• Current certifications including ACLS; NIHSS certification required and must be included in CV packet.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• Strong neuro or med/surg background preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro patient care, including NIHSS assessment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle stepdown and med/surg patient needs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
