Registered Nurse - LTC/SNF
Location: Canton, SD
Schedule / Job Type: Rotating shifts / Full-time (details to be discussed)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide compassionate, safe, and efficient care to residents in a long-term care / skilled nursing facility setting.
- Assess, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans for residents.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately per physicians’ orders.
- Observe residents, document care provided, and report any changes in residents’ conditions promptly.
- Ensure residents’ privacy, dignity, and independence are maintained.
- Assist with transfers using appropriate equipment and handling techniques to ensure resident safety.
- Foster a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Use electronic medical records (EMR) efficiently in daily responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Active RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Knowledge of nursing procedures and medication administration.
- Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Familiarity with EMR systems.
- Ability to work rotating shifts as needed.
