Key Responsibilities

• Support a wide range of diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures in the cath lab setting.
• Ensure proper preparation of the lab, equipment, and supplies for each procedure.
• Maintain strict sterile techniques and adherence to infection control policies during procedures.
• Collaborate with the procedure team and departmental leadership to promote patient safety and workflow efficiency.
• Assist in equipment setup, operation, and troubleshooting of advanced cath lab technology including imaging and hemodynamic systems.
• Serve as a resource and preceptor for junior technicians and technologists, sharing expertise in advanced procedures and technology.

Required Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology, or a related healthcare field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in diagnostic or interventional radiology, cath lab, or electrophysiology lab.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (as applicable).
• Certification such as RCIS, RCES, RCS, or relevant ARRT/ARDMS credentials.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with structural heart procedures and devices such as IABP, Impella, or LVAD.
• Experience supporting complex interventional procedures including intra-aortic balloon pump, rotational atherectomy, thrombectomy, and device management.
• Knowledge of radiation safety protocols and ability to act as radiation safety representative during procedures.
