Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to create a supportive learning environment
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting approaches as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Georgia state teaching certification in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with special needs
  • Strong understanding of appropriate instructional methodologies for special education
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior experience in a school setting serving diverse learners
  • Knowledge of assistive technologies and interventions for students with disabilities
  • Passion for supporting students’ academic and social growth
