- Full-time, contract, rotating shift, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to cardiac patients in the CVICU.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, medications, and treatment responses.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Recognize and respond to patient emergencies, including arrhythmias and other critical events.
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain high standards of patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in CVICU prior to travel assignments.
- Active Ohio nursing license or Compact state license.
- Current certifications: American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation.
- Ability to work at least every other holiday.
- Must pass background checks and drug screenings (nicotine free, unless exempt).
- Must complete fingerprinting and badging at the facility prior to start.
- BCI/FBI background check completed within 48 hours of signing contract.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Travel ICU experience is acceptable.
- Strong clinical skills in cardiac care and emergency response.
- Ability to manage complex patient scenarios independently.
