• Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide primary nursing care for ICU patients, including those on ventilators and titrated drips.
• Monitor and manage complex patient conditions such as respiratory failure, post-surgical recovery, and trauma.
• Administer and titrate medications including vasopressors, sedatives, and analgesics.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and telemetry staff to deliver comprehensive critical care.
• Document patient progress and respond promptly to changing patient needs in a high-acuity environment.
• Support patient families and ensure adherence to safety and infection control protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Valid and active Illinois nursing license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Experience caring for ICU patients, including ventilated and sedated patients.
• Proficiency with PEG tube care, CVC/PICC line management, and tracheostomy care.
• Ability to titrate IV drips such as Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, Versed, and others.
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a level ICU with adult patients.
• Familiarity with Phillips telemetry monitors and troubleshooting ICU equipment.
• Prior experience with ventilator management and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
